I was born in Coimbra (Portugal) and I received my Bachelor’s in Biology from there. I came to Lausanne in 2013 to join the master’s program in Behavior, Evolution, Conservation. Following this, I received a grant to continue on with my PhD working with Profs. Alexandre Roulin and Jérôme Goudet. I am studying how insular Barn Owls differ from their continental peers. I am specifically interested in discovering how the demographic history of these populations generated their morphological and genetic profiles.
